  • Walmart CEO Doug McMillon announced he will step down on Jan. 31 and be replaced by John Furner, who runs Walmart U.S. Analysts said the company earned a 323% gain under his 12-year leadership and expect Furner to boost growth with new AI plans—shares fell briefly after the news.  NWA Business Journal

SPORTS NEWS

  • During the LSU game, confusion arose after an Arkansas block on Grant Chadwick's punt led to a 16-yard scoop-and-score that gave LSU a 23-22 win—initially credited to Caleb Wooden, the play was later reassigned to freshman linebacker Wyatt Simmons. This marked the Razorbacks' first blocked punt for a touchdown since 2009.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Texas Tech handed the University of Arkansas women's basketball team its first loss under Coach Kelsi Musick on Sunday when the Lady Raiders won 80-68 at United Supermarkets Arena.
