- ➤ More than 100 entrepreneurs won a chance to have their American-made products on Walmart and Sam's Club shelves after competing at Walmart’s Open Call held in Bentonville this week. Over 500 invited finalists from 47 states competed in coaching and one-on-one pitches — winners received a coveted Golden Ticket that supports small businesses and U.S. manufacturing. - ➤ Willie Nelson, a famous outlaw-country singer born in Texas, has deep ties to Arkansas through his family (with roots from Searcy and Marion counties) that helped shape his music. - ➤ Bentonville School District will soon choose among facility options—its top choice is a professional studies high school expanding the Ignite program—and the board is set to decide next year.
