- ➤ Arkade, a new tech center at Ledger in downtown Bentonville run by Spring Capital, is inviting global tech startups to tackle retail supply problems. The incubator features 28 workstations and five private offices and will welcome 10 to 15 companies after Labor Day—offering them a way to build strong local business ties. NWA Business Journal

- ➤ Former Rogers police chief and current city council member Hayes Minor, 53, was arrested Sunday night in Fayetteville after deputies stopped his Cadillac Escalade on I-49 for speeding and tailgating, and he failed field sobriety and breath tests revealing a blood alcohol level above 0.08 (he is scheduled to appear in Fayetteville District Court on July 7). - ➤ Timothy Rhodifer, 67, a Missouri man, was given two concurrent life sentences on two counts of rape in Benton County this week—he was under investigation for indecent exposure. 4029 News
- ➤ A Gentry man, 18-year-old Donovan Hayes, was arrested on Saturday after being accused of pointing an Orbeez toy gun at a woman near 3370 E. U.S. 412 in Bentonville—he was released on citation from Benton County Jail and no formal charges have been filed. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

- ➤ Walmart's Annual Shareholders' Meeting took place virtually Thursday morning as shareholders voted on executive compensation and other key decisions while thousands of visitors joined Associates' Week celebrations—boosting hotels, restaurants and local businesses according to economic experts.
