  • Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers will open a new location at 3308 SW 14th Street in Bentonville by year-end. A company spokesperson said the restaurant is planned near where SW 14th Street becomes E Centerton Boulevard — a site expected to offer a fresh dining option for local residents.  5 News

CRIME NEWS

  • Bentonville — Former Springdale assistant principal Oesterle, a convicted sex offender, was sentenced to 20 years in prison Wednesday for failing to meet sex offender registration rules.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Northwest Arkansas added roughly 38 new residents each day, which led to problems with traffic, rising housing costs, and fewer healthcare providers. At its Spring Meeting Wednesday, the Northwest Arkansas Council gathered over 100 local leaders and set plans to roll out public input opportunities this summer and present a Regional Growth Strategy in 2026.  5 News
  • Governor Sanders signed HB1150 on Wednesday to ban pharmacy benefit managers from owning pharmacies and engaging in anticompetitive practices. The law, introduced on January 16, follows a $1.5 million fine against four PBMs and has sparked warnings from industry leaders that it could lead to pharmacy closures and job losses.  5 News
