On Saturday, June 28, 2025, Taylor Long led an Audubon field trip at Mill Branch Park in Goshen as 30 birders hiked mowed trails. The group heard a yellow‑billed cuckoo and spotted woodpeckers in the 111‑acre park—located 0.4 miles east of downtown Goshen on Arkansas 45.
Two Lincoln Middle School teachers (Yvette Townsend and Tyler McBride) are participating in the upcoming Teach Plus Arkansas cohort to learn leadership skills that will help them advocate for students on education policy issues. The program, offered by the nonprofit organization, will provide state-level training to help the teachers speak for their students.
