  • Nathan Acosta, age 4, was diagnosed with leukemia in October and started chemotherapy after an eight day hospital stay; his Bentonville family has received strong neighbor support — many have brought meals and help during his treatment that will last two and a half years.  5 News

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Sales tax revenue in Bentonville, Fayetteville, Rogers and Springdale was $9.61 million in November — a 2.02% drop from a year ago and the first combined deficit in over 15 years. For the 11 months, the four cities reported a 2.77% overall increase, with Fayetteville recording a 4.41% gain linked to higher university enrollment.  NWA Business Journal

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • A 24,750‐square‐foot industrial building in Fayetteville sold for $15 million at $606 per square foot — purchased by Multi-Management Services Inc. on 14.90 acres from Peter O. Kohler LLC. In Bentonville, an 80.91‐acre pasture sold for $6.15 million — while mixed-use commercial buildings on South Main and Southwest Eighth streets sold for $3.5 million.  NWA Business Journal

SPORTS NEWS

  • Interim Arkansas football coach Bobby Petrino said he will keep the starting quarterback a secret as the Razorbacks get ready to play Missouri Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Reynolds Razorback Stadium+ he also said that a reported locker room scuffle with defensive coordinator Chris Wilson was checked and called a joke.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Arkansas Razorbacks athletic director Hunter Yurachek nears the end of his search for a new head football coach—having met with 20-plus candidates including Kane Wommack—and plans to announce his decision next Monday after the season finale.
