  • Walmart unveiled five AI-powered digital tools in its app to help shoppers find deals and learn about products when they shop in its stores — the retailer said customers spend 25% more per visit using the tool and the features are now available in U.S. stores.  NWA Business Journal
  • Bentonville-based think-and-do tank Heartland Forward announced Tuesday (Nov. 4) that it launched the first Heartland AI Caucus and a Center for Investment Readiness to help local businesses grow and boost economic strength. Senate President Pro Tempore Bart Hester from Cave Springs led the caucus with state legislators and chief innovation officers to shape smart AI policy for future progress.  NWA Business Journal
  • The University of Arkansas announced on November 4 that Chris Tisdel has started as director of the McMillon Innovation Studio—he replaces Justin Urso and will use his experience in human-centered design to help students develop innovative solutions. Tisdel, a Texas native with a background in consulting and project management, is expected to lead the studio to new heights.  NWA Business Journal

  • Mayor Stephanie Orman will host an in-person Coffee with the Mayor event for Bentonville residents on November 18 from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. at the Museum of Native American History—neighbors can ask questions and share ideas with city leaders.  City of Bentonville
