  • Bentonville Farmers Market closed its outdoor season with record sales that surpassed $3 million—showing strong growth from previous years and local support. The market will start its indoor season this Saturday at the Record at 104 S.W. A St.—open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon through March 21.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • The Bentonville Farmers Market ended its outdoor season with more than $3 million in sales — a record confirmed by Downtown Bentonville Inc. EDUCATION NEWS

  • On Oct. 30, more than 100 people attended an invitation‑only event at Northwest Technical Institute in Springdale to celebrate its 50th anniversary and the opening of an $8 million ammonia refrigeration and boiler training facility. The new 19,000‑square‑foot building—Arkansas’s only ammonia refrigeration training center—serves 14 to 20 students and will soon launch advanced courses in refrigeration and electrical systems.  NWA Business Journal

  • Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced Friday that the state will send $500,000 to six food bank networks to support SNAP recipients amid a government shutdown risk—funds will start on Monday with additional weekly allocations considered if the shutdown continues.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • Arkansas hosts Mississippi State today at Reynolds Razorback Stadium as both teams try to break long SEC losing streaks—Arkansas has lost six straight while Mississippi State has lost 16 SEC games consecutively—with interim coach Bobby Petrino stressing team unity and a strong return from quarterback Taylen Green.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
