Downtown Bentonville hosted its final outdoor farmers market of the 2025 season Saturday—rain slowed sales for vendors who still offered fresh produce, crafts, and sweet treats.
The market will move indoors at Record Downtown starting Nov. 1 and run until March 21.
Neighbors across Northwest Arkansas completed a three-day, 30-mile trek from Bentonville to Fayetteville on Saturday—raising more than $22,000 to build housing for people with disabilities recovering from homelessness.
Organizers from New Beginnings said the inaugural event let walkers learn firsthand about the challenges faced by those without safe shelter.

Former Walmart COO Jack Shewmaker's classic truck collection will be auctioned in Dallas at Dickies Arena from Oct.
29 through 31 by Mecum Auctions — auctioneers say the trucks have been carefully maintained for collectors. They stated local buyers will have one last chance to bid and honor his legacy — a tribute to his impact on Northwest Arkansas.

On Nov. 8, the Capital Hotel will open for Opus Ball XLI, the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra's main fundraiser.
Diana Brandon—who is known for her deep passion for music—will host the event.

The city completed the quarter-mile brick-lined, pedestrian-only walkway in downtown Bentonville after nearly two years of construction and will hold a grand opening event on Nov.
15 with yoga, street performers, live art and music—part of its ongoing Quilt of Parks project.
Food bank officials warned Friday that when SNAP benefits ran out Saturday due to the government shutdown, private charities could not fill the gap.
They noted that 222,000 Arkansans in 118,000 households already relied on SNAP—rising food costs and rents have driven up local pantry demand.

Arkansas beat Cincinnati 89-61 on Friday night at Bud Walton Arena — freshman guards scored 35 points combined.
The team will travel to Memphis on Oct. 27 for their final exhibition game before the season opener.
Arkansas lost 33-24 to Auburn at home on Oct.
25, extending their losing streak. The Razorbacks threw multiple turnovers and fell behind early—letting Auburn build a lead that they never relinquished.
