BUSINESS NEWS

  • Walmart in Bentonville is bringing back its annual Thanksgiving meal basket that serves 10 people for $38.54—the lowest price since it launched in 2022—and is available until Dec. 25 with in-store pickup or delivery fees up to $19.95 disclosed before purchase. CEO John Furner said the basket features national brands and Walmart items along with a new gluten-free option and mindful swaps for higher protein.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Bentonville School District eliminated class rankings effective immediately — the School Board also rejected a land purchase offer. No additional details were provided about either decision.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

HEALTH NEWS

  • A new state program in Arkansas trains chaplains to help law enforcement and first responders manage mental health by easing stress, burnout, death notifications and supporting suicide prevention and family care. So far, 86 chaplains have finished the 40-hour course and agencies will start hiring certified chaplains in the coming weeks — officials said.  4029 News

  • High school volleyball regional games ended with wins and third-place finishes in several divisions. Westside won the 4A East match at Brookland, Pottsville beat Huntsville in 4A North and Benton HG finished third in 12A East at Cotter.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Bentonville volleyball swept Fayetteville 25-12, 25-22, 25-19 on Tuesday night at Bulldog Arena to win the 6A-West Conference title — the team started strong and made key plays throughout the match.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Bentonville senior middle linebacker Kameran Thornton-Mead will play in a key 7A-West Conference game against Rogers today—his performance is part of a 20-year legacy under coach Jody Grant who has seen many standout linebackers.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • The University of Arkansas is on pace to break its total offense record set in 2010 and will play Auburn Saturday at Reynolds Razorback Stadium— the Razorbacks average 513.7 yards per game and rely on a strong offensive line and skilled players under coach Bobby Petrino.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
