  • Walmart's new partnership with OpenAI boosted its stock on Tuesday and Wednesday, pushing its market cap above $869 billion and raising the chance of a trillion-dollar value.   • On Oct. 9 in Bentonville, survivors shared their stories during the free Unbroken: Survivor Art Gallery and Awards Celebration at Crystal Bridges, organized by the Northwest Arkansas Center for Sexual Assault — the event honored survivors with art and awards.   • The Best Friends Pet Resource Center in Bentonville holds free weekly pet clinics every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.—pet owners can get age-appropriate vaccinations and microchipping for their cats and dogs via an online reservation system that makes routine care more affordable.  5 News

  • The Arkansas men’s basketball team will begin its season on Oct. 24 with a home game against Cincinnati at 7 p.m. and will face teams such as Memphis, Southern, Duke and Kentucky in regular season and SEC Tournament games scheduled through March in several cities & venues.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • At SEC Media Days in Birmingham, John Calipari said the Arkansas team must improve on passes and rebounds after scrimmage mistakes and praised junior D.J. Wagner for stepping up as point guard.
