- ➤ Taylor Speegle will be promoted to president and CEO of the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank effective Jan. 1 next year — he currently serves as its vice president and chief strategy officer — replacing Kent Eikenberry who plans to retire in 2026. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ Bentonville is hosting its fall tree giveaway on Saturday at the Municipal Complex (3200 S.W. Municipal Drive) starting at 7:30 a.m. with about 500 trees available on a first-come, first-served basis. City residents may receive up to two trees per address by showing a driver’s license or utility bill (event supported by the Tree and Landscape Advisory Committee, Compton Gardens and Arboretum and the Walton Family Foundation). - ➤ A recent survey showed that Bentonville residents want better transportation options and active travel infrastructure—despite less support for the city’s overall direction. City officials may use these findings to shape future transit plans. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

- ➤ On Monday at Fayetteville Tennis Center, Rogers’ boys and Bentonville’s girls advanced their bid to repeat as champions in the Class 6A state tennis tournament — strong Day 1 play puts them in a good position for the rest of the event.
