SPORTS NEWS

  • After Saturday’s open date, interim coach Bobby Petrino said the Razorbacks will follow a nine-week plan to boost an offense that scored only 13 points against No. 22 Notre Dame and to fix a shaky defense after key staff changes. He added that tougher games against ranked teams—such as Tennessee, Texas A&M, LSU, Texas, and Missouri—will test the changes and help the players improve.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Defensive lineman Ari Slocum reopened his recruitment on Tuesday after having been committed to Arkansas since January — his move came after former coach Deke Adams was fired on Monday. He is the fifth defensive pledge to reverse his decision as Arkansas now holds 18 commitments for the 2026 class.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
