- ➤ Walmart announced its annual sale will run from 11 p.m. October 6th through October 12th, and Walmart Plus members will get early access starting at 6 p.m. October 6th. - ➤ The Benton County Sheriff's Office is hosting a Parent Night Out Tuesday at Bentonville High School from 6 to 8 p.m.—teaching parents about online risks including predator tactics on apps and video games; a second session will be held at Rogers High School on November 4 at 6 p.m. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

- ➤ On Friday, the Arkansas Legislative Council approved a $4 million contract increase with ClassWallet for Educational Freedom Accounts and related services. - ➤ University of Arkansas System trustees approved a new mission statement and welcomed University of Arkansas-North Arkansas College into the system on Thursday in Fayetteville — the college will soon gain improved resources and support as it awaits Higher Learning Commission approval. - ➤ Bentonville launched the second year of its privately funded E-Bike Rebate Program on Sept. 8. Parks director David Wright said the program increased the rebate by $300 — a change that raises the income limit so more residents can qualify — helping more locals get e-bikes.
