- ➤ Residents near Prairie Grove protested at a Washington County Planning Commission meeting on Sept. 24 — voicing fears of health risks from dust and noise and a potential drop in property values due to a proposed concrete plant. The commission tabled the issue until the end of October to gather more public input. 5 News

- ➤ Yesterday, Rogers-based Assembled Products Corp. changed its name to Kiefer Sage when it moved its 150 workers into a new 80,000-square-foot building at 405 W. Easy St.—the company also launched a co-assembly service to boost U.S. production and honor its late founder Bill Sage. NWA Business Journal

- ➤ The Arkansas Supreme Court will hear oral arguments on Nov 6 at 10 a.m. to consider three parents' request to intervene in a lawsuit over the state's Educational Freedom Accounts program—parents with children in the program say they have a direct financial and personal interest while appellees argue that state interests are already well represented. - ➤ Hope Cancer Resources in Springdale unveiled its new brand and logo today using a design from Nathan Allen Studio—an update that comes 16 years after its merger and shows its commitment to support cancer patients and their families in Northwest Arkansas. NWA Business Journal
- ➤ Arkansas Children’s Northwest in Springdale is steadily expanding its facilities—adding 50,000 square feet of new space, more operating rooms and outpatient areas to help reduce travel to Little Rock. The $82.7 million project, which broke ground in 2024, will boost inpatient capacity with an increase from 25 to 40 beds and room for future growth. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ Arkansas Children’s Northwest held a tour on Wednesday of its $82.7 million expansion project that began in 2024 and will add new space such as labs, operating rooms, and extra beds to keep more children close to home—reducing the need to travel to Little Rock.
