CULTURE NEWS

  • Today, the Scott Family Amazeum in Bentonville is updating its popular Walmart Market exhibit as part of a $25 million expansion—reopening the 900-square-foot space with a $500,000 investment. The museum added new graphics, murals and interactive features while construction on other projects will be completed by late 2026.  NWA Business Journal

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Arkansas farmers are having a hard time as rising input costs and low crop prices hurt their work, with many meeting in Brookland to share their struggles. Senator Boozman said help will come next year—he and the Arkansas delegation are working with Congress to send needed aid to the farm community.  5 News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Bentonville School Board members voted Tuesday to hire 14 security officers to patrol elementary and middle schools — a plan to boost safety in our schools.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Planners from the Northwest Arkansas Council and Groundwork held an online session on Sept. 18 to gather local feedback on a regional growth strategy and will host more public meetings from Sept. 20 to Sept. 24 to address issues like traffic, housing, and the loss of small-town character—recommendations will be ready in early 2026.  NWA Business Journal
  • On September 14th, the City of Bentonville resumed its partnership with GovDeals to auction surplus properties—an effort that has generated over $429,000 since 2021. New auctions will be posted on GovDeals and buyers must register to submit bids.  City of Bentonville
