- ➤ At the Rogers Convention Center panel, Walmart and Tyson executives said consumers want more healthy protein choices and new flavors, with Tyson planning to remove high fructose corn syrup from its 1,850 products by the end of 2025 and Walmart noting its delivery service now reaches 93% of the nation—these moves aim to meet growing customer demand for quality and value. - ➤ Yesterday at the Ledger during Retail Innovation Week, entrepreneur Alastair Dorward—former CEO of Method—advised local entrepreneurs to start by selling online and gathering data before pitching large retailers like Walmart. - ➤ Arkansas PBS has been nominated for 11 regional Emmy Awards—given by the Mid-America Chapter of NATAS—for its local original productions that include a documentary on adventure and sports features highlighting community stories. - ➤ At a meeting at Centerton City Hall, data from DPZ CoDesign showed that many households in Benton and Washington counties spend 24% of their income on transportation and 22% on housing—pressuring family budgets and public funds. - ➤ The Compass Report showed that central and Northwest Arkansas grew in Q2 2025 with more jobs while Fort Smith and Jonesboro had slower progress. Central Arkansas added about 7,400 non-farm jobs and Northwest Arkansas gained roughly 500 jobs, compared to modest increases in Fort Smith and Jonesboro which received C and C+ grades — the report was compiled by UAFS and Talk Business & Politics. - ➤ Arkansas will allow drivers with autism to pick up a blue envelope containing essential documents from local Department of Finance and Administration offices starting January 1; the law aims to help law enforcement respond better during traffic stops.
