  • H2Ozarks will host an event on Sept. 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Elkins Community Center to offer free food, septic system maintenance advice, and raffle prizes—such as a year's supply of toilet paper and a $150 pumping rebate—in collaboration with local water agencies.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Today, Phillips Park in Bentonville opens at 5:30 p.m.—with a ribbon-cutting, homerun derby, games, hot dogs and fireworks lighting up the evening. This weekend also brings a new Crystal Bridges exhibit, music on the Square and other community events for local families.  5 News

  • Bentonville residents have until September 30 to comment on the second draft of the Unified Development Code—based on over 500 community comments and part of the city’s Plan Bentonville initiative—and a final draft is expected in October.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Bentonville residents can review and comment on the second draft of the unified development code until Sept. 30—this draft shows both regulations and a zoning map that explains how properties may be affected, building on over 500 earlier comments. SPORTS NEWS

  • At Memorial Park in Bentonville, senior Kavya Kurichety played singles for the team and lost 6-3, 6-3 to Fayetteville’s Montse Perez on Thursday, Sept. 11—her first singles match—while the boys won a 7-6 singles contest.
