  • The Walton Family Foundation renewed its support for the Northwest Arkansas Kiva Hub on Wednesday with a three-year commitment and $1 million pledge to match crowdfunded microloan contributions. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The City of Bentonville released the second draft of its Community Code on Sept. 10 for public review until Sept. 30—residents and business owners can review both the regulations and the draft zoning map as their feedback will shape a final draft planned for October.  City of Bentonville
  • Bentonville City Council voted 6-0 to approve 7% annual wastewater rate increases for residential & commercial customers effective Jan. 1, 2026 through 2030. The hikes will raise average residential bills by about $3 in 2026 and around $4 in later years while helping fund planned upgrades to the wastewater treatment plant.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • Pediatrics Plus will open a new nature-based therapy farm at 3415 N. Dixieland Road in Little Flock on Sept. 22nd—this 12,000-square-foot farmhouse on 17 acres will blend traditional therapy services with outdoor activities like animal care and gardening for children, and a similar Elm Springs location near Springdale will follow as part of the provider’s expansion in NW Arkansas.  NWA Business Journal

  • Thursday’s Week 2 prep football games delivered close finishes as Fort Smith Northside beat Coweta 24—21, Farmington won 31—20 over Prairie Grove, Southside defeated Little Rock Central 28—14, Gentry edged Hackett 24—21, Greenwood overcame Springdale Har-Ber 38—28, Bentonville West bested Muskogee 38—21, and Ozark narrowly defeated Charleston 28—27.
