  • Emergency room data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows rising covid-19 infections in Arkansas — officials expect a later spike as updated vaccines may not be widely available this fall.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will start an early buck-only hunt Sept. 6th to 8th that lets bowhunters take one antlered deer with archery gear if it meets state rules. Hunters will check AGFC wildlife management areas and approved private lands while public lands like those of the USDA Forest Service remain closed.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • On Friday night at Tulsa Union's Tuttle Stadium during a 73-degree game, the Bentonville Tigers beat the Redhawks to open their 2025 season.
