- ➤ Bentonville officials announced that utility line work will cause road closures along Southeast B Street throughout August. Motorists should expect traffic delays during the month. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ A non-profit organ procurement agency filed a challenge in federal court against a new state law that allows families to reverse an organ donor's wishes. The law amends the Arkansas Revised Anatomical Gift Act and is set to go into effect next week & the challenge will determine if next-of-kin can override the donor's decision. - ➤ The City of Bentonville, in partnership with Northwest Health and the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks, will host the annual blood drive on Tuesday, August 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Northwest Medical Center and Bentonville Fire Station 1—donors are encouraged to schedule an appointment to reduce wait times.
