Four local shelters are joining the national Clear the Shelters campaign in August to help pets find new homes, and Best Friends Animal Society in Bentonville will waive fees and host events this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fayetteville Animal Services will cut fees by half while Bella Vista Animal Shelter will hold a charity sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug 16–23 — offering a larger, safer venue for supporters.

The Arkansas Association of Asian Businesses announced yesterday that Bentonville’s Jayesh Ramnani became its new executive director—while Deepali Lal and Chung Tan were named to the board to help connect Arkansas and Asia in business.
