- ➤ Canopy NWA, a Springdale refugee resettlement group, says the new One Big Beautiful Bill Act signed this month will soon cut SNAP benefits and add fees — $550 for work permits and $275 for renewals — to refugee families who fled violence. The group warned that the law may delay job fills for local employers and strain the state’s workforce. 4029 News
- ➤ Residents in Bentonville can apply to serve on the Airport Advisory Board—applications are due by July 28 and members must be registered voters residing in the city who attend monthly meetings and may also join special sessions during their three-year term. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
