The 11th annual Bentonville Film Festival spotlights homegrown Arkansas films and celebrates a wide range of local talent—bringing creative voices to center stage in our community.

The event highlights diverse artistic expression and the vibrant culture of Northwest Arkansas.

Benton County 4-H students have traveled to Washington D.C. for the Citizenship Washington Focus trip—from June 14 to June 20—to learn about U.S. history and government.

The group of 30 students includes Brooklyn Luedecke near Gentry and Emma Millsap from Gravette, who are eager to build valuable skills for future opportunities.

Amelia Lisowe, a 14-year-old student at Bryant Junior High in Benton, was crowned Miss Arkansas Teen on June 13 at the Robinson Center in Little Rock and will represent Arkansas at Miss America's Teen this fall—she earned over $16,000 in scholarships for her service and leadership and runs Lisowe Lights, a project that has provided night lights to foster children in all 50 states and 10 countries.

The Razorback baseball team added two transfer pitchers as Jackson Wells from Little Rock and Ethan McElvain from Vanderbilt committed to join the staff.

Wells—a junior from Rogers who earned Ohio Valley honors and signed Thursday night—and McElvain, an incoming junior with strong SEC play, are expected to boost the team for the upcoming season.

The University of Arkansas baseball team, the national third seed, will face the sixth seed LSU at 6 p.m. central on Saturday at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha in the opening game of the College World Series—losing this game means a spot in the losers bracket.

Arkansas pitcher Zach Root and LSU pitcher Kade Anderson will start as both teams try to gain an early advantage.
