- ➤ Bella Vista Community Church (75 E. Lancashire Blvd) will host the BVCC Kids Summer Arts and Science Camp 2025 for children ages 6 through 12 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. July 14-18; registration ends June 27, fees are $10 per child or $20 per family, and classes include watercolor painting, clay sculpture, music and drama, STEAM, yard art, rock painting, Joy of Flight, and science investigation with snacks provided. - ➤ Severe storms and a rollover on Friday morning caused multiple accidents on Interstate 49—heavy traffic from the Walmart Shareholders Celebration backed up vehicles for miles. 4029 News

- ➤ Walmart announced that its drone delivery service will expand to Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, Orlando and Tampa, making it the first retailer to scale drone deliveries across five states. The new program will launch at 100 stores and builds on operations in Bentonville and Dallas-Fort Worth — with over 150,000 deliveries completed since 2021. 4029 News
- ➤ Walmart CEO Doug McMillon said on Friday, June 6 that the company will keep raising wages for its 2.1 million workers while spending $1 billion on training and education over the next few years. He noted that U.S. hourly wages have risen sharply over the last decade and that Walmart is adjusting its supply chain and tariffs—steps meant to support workers and suppliers for the future. - ➤ Federal prosecutors charged the two founders of a Springdale nonprofit with wire fraud, theft & tax evasion after a magistrate judge issued an order Friday that showed they stole from more than 100 victims. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Heavy rain and lightning moved through Northwest Arkansas this morning, leaving hundreds without power. SWEPCO reported 300 customers near Wagon Wheel Rd—Highway 264 in Springdale will see power restored by 8:00 a.m., while Arkansas Electric Cooperative reported 258 outages statewide, including in Benton and Washington counties. 4029 News
