  • Community members in Bentonville will mark one year since deadly tornadoes struck Northwest Arkansas on May 26 when Chronicle: Road to Recovery streams live from 6:30 to 7 p.m. A supercell produced 19 tornadoes — including seven in Benton County — that caused widespread damage and spurred repairs and debates over FEMA funding.  4029 News

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A 3-year-old girl fell over a waterfall at Tanyard Creek Nature Trail in Bella Vista on Tuesday night and was rescued by strangers—she was taken to the hospital with only minor scratches and no broken bones despite the strong current.  4029 News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Greer Lingle middle-schoolers will return to their remodeled building next fall after spending most of last year in 32 mobile units due to a May tornado that caused $28 million in damage— the new facility now includes a safe room and an expanded fine arts center. Superintendent Jeff Perry added that about 500 district families are still living in temporary housing.  4029 News
  • The Rogers School District named a new board member and hired an assistant principal Tuesday to add fresh leadership to the schools. The district said the appointments will help shape future decisions—ensuring better support for students and staff.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • Benton will face Sheridan today at 4 p.m. at Shock Stadium in Conway in the Class 5A state softball final — the team seeks to build on its April 21 win over Sheridan.
