Good morning, Bentonville.

Mike Masterson, a longtime Arkansas investigative journalist and Pulitzer Prize co-finalist, died Sunday at age 78 after battling squamous cell cancer of the neck since 2022.

He worked at major newspapers and was known for his firm coverage of local injustices — his career earned him many awards.

Bentonville district is searching for a new principal for the largest high school in Arkansas this summer—officials said it is still in process.
