- ➤ Church notes share upcoming events for local families including a summer arts camp at Bella Vista Community Church from July 14 to 18 for kids ages 6 to 12 (registration opens Monday and ends June 27) and Vacation Bible School sessions at Bella Vista Lutheran Church from June 23 to 26 and at First Presbyterian of Springdale from July 7 to 11. Other notices include an Islam 101 course at Bentonville Islamic Center on Sundays at 5:30 p.m., a Sonday Riders meetup tomorrow at 2 p.m., weekly prayer gatherings, choir rehearsals and food pantry services. BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Chandler Equipment Inc. of Springdale purchased Starwood Customs on April 14th—its 15,000-square-foot Lowell store at 411 N. Goad Springs Road will serve as a regional hub for its vehicle customization services. Owners Morgan and Chris Chandler announced the deal on May 16, noting the purchase strengthens their retail operations while keeping the store's name. NWA Business Journal

- ➤ The Northwest Arkansas Community College Board of Trustees voted to give President Dennis Rittle a raise (and extend his contract) in Bentonville, so his job now lasts until 2032 (the decision was made at a recent meeting). Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

- ➤ The Arkansas baseball team ended a three-game run without home runs when Brent Iredale, Ryder Helfrick — and Logan Maxwell hit long balls to beat No. 14 Tennessee 8-6 on Friday at Baum-Walker Stadium.
