A defense attorney for a Missouri woman accused of killing a pregnant Arkansas woman and her unborn baby requested a mental evaluation due to a growth on her brain—whether a lesion, tumor, or cyst—to check her fitness for trial.

Attorneys for Amber Waterman, accused of murdering Ashley Bush and her unborn child, have asked for MRI, CT scans or X-rays to check her trial fitness since they say an abnormal brain growth is causing seizures and speech issues—while Benton County prosecutors are set to move forward with the case following a recent court ruling—.
