EDUCATION NEWS

  • The collision repair technology program at Arkansas Tech University-Ozark has been re-accredited after review by the Automotive Service Excellence Education Foundation. Kenneth Floyd said the renewed accreditation will let students learn advanced collision repair and green technology methods—skills that open doors to higher-end shops.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

HEALTH NEWS

  • Health inspectors reviewed multiple restaurants in Benton County between April 28 and May 2 and found violations such as issues with handwashing and incorrect food temperatures that risk foodborne illness—several establishments corrected these problems on site while others still face ongoing concerns.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

SPORTS NEWS

  • The second-ranked Arkansas baseball team lost 13-3 to LSU on Saturday, tying the teams' records as they needed a win to avoid a series sweep.
