- ➤ A Rogers man, Joseph Alexander, 29, allegedly broke into his parents' Bentonville home on March 24 by entering through an old window and firing a crossbow twice at his mother, who suffered life-threatening injuries, before fleeing in a vehicle after a chase ended in a crash—he now faces charges of attempted capital murder, burglary, domestic battery and interference with emergency communications with his next court date set for June 9. 5 News

- ➤ Lily DeSpain is a UAMS Northwest medical student who excelled at Haas Hall Academy in Springdale and Missouri State as a Division I swimmer and scholar—she plans to specialize in dermatology and return to Northwest Arkansas after her residency at Walter Reed. NWA Business Journal
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Bentonville assessed tree canopy loss since 2020 and found a 4% decline overall with a 9% drop in tornado-affected areas—City Director Tyler Overstreet said older trees sustained more damage.
