- ➤ Walmart said on April 9 at an investor event that its U.S. online sales became profitable for the quarter ending April 30 and will remain profitable for the year because of growth from ads and order fulfillment — a milestone reached after 25 years in e-commerce. The company added that its global online business is close to making money as its marketplace grows with more third-party sellers. NWA Business Journal
- ➤ Tyson Foods, based in Springdale, will report a 34% net income gain with quarterly earnings expected on May 5 — market watchers predict net income of $296 million compared to $220 million last year. Revenue is forecast at $13.123 billion, and strong chicken margins will help offset challenges in the beef segment. NWA Business Journal
