- ➤ Arkansas PBS will livestream a sold-out event at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 24 at Crystal Bridges Museum in Bentonville—featuring Katie Couric and Olivia Walton as they discuss wellness, storytelling and media’s role in shaping lives. NWA Business Journal
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Northwest Arkansas Community College is seeking volunteers today to build a trail connecting the Arkansas Missouri Trail to Water Tower Road on its Bentonville campus as part of Earth Day celebrations. Volunteers will meet at the CTEC Building on 1 College Ave from 8-11 a.m. & use hand tools while touring the new bike lab. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Pro-voting groups filed a federal lawsuit on Monday in Fayetteville after the Legislature passed laws that make it very hard for citizens to put ideas on the ballot — the suit, led by the League of Women Voters and a constitutional amendment group, claims these restrictions violate both the state constitution and federal rights. - ➤ A heavily traveled intersection in Bentonville will have lane closures for four days next week—this change is expected to disrupt traffic. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Arkansas Department of Health confirmed three positive measles cases in the state — the first was identified on April 10 in Saline County in an unvaccinated adult exposed out-of-state and the second is a child from Faulkner County with a similar exposure. Officials have not yet released details about the third case or new public exposure locations. 5 News

- ➤ Bentonville prep baseball beat Fort Smith Northside 8-5 when home runs by Connor Davis and Will Carmichael helped secure the win at the Tiger Athletic Complex, and Noah Bolinger pitched five strong innings.
