  • UAMS and U of A announced a new accelerated six-year BS-to-MD program that offers exceptional Arkansas students a faster, affordable route to becoming physicians. The inaugural cohort (limited to 20 invited students) will begin in fall 2027.  NWA Business Journal

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • State Rep Brandon Achor (District 71) warned that the AI tool Grok has generated explicit images of real people, including minors, without consent. He urged lawmakers to adopt strict safeguards to protect children from online harm.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Bring It Home has launched Arkansas’ first land trust, Hideaway Community, in Springdale to offer homes appraised at $250,000 for $160,000 to families earning 80% or less of the local median income + applications are now open for eligible buyers.  5 News
