  • Oz Trails Bike Park in Bella Vista will open on June 12 — after over a year of preparation — featuring nearly 20 miles of biking and hiking trails for all riders, plus a chair lift, art displays, and live music venues.  5 News
  • A group of riders from the Long Road Home Project will ride 220 miles from Bentonville to Little Rock in the second week of April to raise foster care awareness. They will cover 13 to 14 miles daily and stop at the fairgrounds on April 9 for a meet-and-greet.  4029 News
  • At Northwest Arkansas National Airport, 92 TSA officers are serving without pay during the shutdown as they maintain security operations; airport officials are asking community members to donate food and gift cards (not cash) to support them.   • J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. is suing multiple insurance companies to clarify its policy terms following a fatal crash in 2023 + the suit questions whether the company acted as a freight broker or motor carrier.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Southwestern Electric Power Co. introduced its Pay as You Go program on Tuesday to let customers prepay their electricity bills by deducting usage from a prepaid balance.   • Bentonville-area farmers face higher fertilizer costs as the war with Iran disrupts supply through the Strait of Hormuz, pushing prices to around $790 per ton during spring season—costs that, combined with rising diesel prices, may lead to higher grocery bills for local consumers.  4029 News

HEALTH NEWS

  • The CDC reported one case in Arkansas from a recall of superfood supplements, which led to 97 illnesses and 26 hospitalizations nationwide by March 17 — officials advise residents to discard the affected items.  5 News

  • Arkansas gymnast Morgan Price, a first-year transfer who scored the school’s first perfect 10 on Feb. 20, was named one of seven finalists for the AAI Award—given to the top senior female college gymnast—and she and her fellow finalists will be honored at the NCAA championships next month in Fort Worth.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • The Razorbacks ended their 18-game homestand with a 9-4 win over Northern Colorado at Baum-Walker Stadium.   • Arkansas football coaches David Johnson and Morgan Turner met with media on March 18 to discuss spring practice plans during a session in Fayetteville.
