- ➤ Walmart Inc. named Erin Nealy Cox as its new chief legal officer & corporate secretary, and she will assume her role on April 13, replacing Rachel Brand who left in January. Cox comes from Kirkland & Ellis LLP and served as U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas. NWA Business Journal
- ➤ J.B. Hunt Transport Services will hold its annual meeting on April 23 in Lowell + shareholders will vote on a slate of directors, executive compensation and an independent accounting firm. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ California-based Swarm Aero secured $35M in Series A financing led by Two Sigma Ventures and Silent Ventures after opening its Fayetteville Advanced Manufacturing Center (80,000 sqft) mid-February; the funds will accelerate production of larger UAVs aimed at creating hundreds of aerospace jobs over the next decade. - ➤ Chase expanded its presence in Northwest Arkansas by opening new branches in Fayetteville at 3365 N. College Ave. & in Rogers at 1803 S. 46th St. The bank, now with five local branches, increased staff to support community financial health as part of its multibillion-dollar expansion plan. - ➤ Washington County tested its $8.1 million Emergency Operations Center on Friday with a six-hour disaster drill involving officials from Fayetteville and Springdale plus other local agencies. County leaders said the exercise identified needed improvements to the center’s audio-video system. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

- ➤ The Arkansas men’s track team finished Day 1 Friday at the NCAA Indoor Championships in first place with 14 points, highlighted by Ernest Cheruiyot’s bronze (13:37.52) in the 5,000 meters and a silver in the distance medley relay.
