CULTURE NEWS

  • Live Nation is working with The Momentary to plan Bentonville Ballroom — a music venue to seat 2,500 — near the arts hub; it will open in 2028. The project is expected to boost local jobs and tax revenue.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Benton County led Arkansas in Q3 2025 by reporting the highest average weekly wage of $1,582, according to Tuesday (March) BLS data; the county also saw a 10.4% rise in business establishments while statewide wages increased 3.8%.  NWA Business Journal

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Arkansas has opened EFA applications for the fourth year to help families cover private and parochial school and homeschool costs. Last year, more than 44,000 students benefited from funds that provided nearly $7,000 per student (28,000 in private schools and 17,000 receiving homeschool support).  4029 News

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • ABN Holdings acquired two office buildings (608 and 508 S.W. Eighth St.) for nearly $20 million in a recent sale. The Walton family will reshape the site into a mixed-use development including a new university, with Runway Group set to begin demolition soon.  NWA Business Journal

  • The sixth-ranked Arkansas baseball team begins SEC play Friday night against No. 3 Mississippi State—coached by Brian O’Connor who left Virginia after winning a national title.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Darius Acuff will play for the Razorbacks in the SEC Tournament after missing the regular-season finale with an ankle injury. The team, seeded third, will open play at 8:30 p.m. Friday against either Texas A&M, South Carolina or Oklahoma.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Darius Acuff was named SEC Player and Freshman of the Year by the AP on Tuesday after sweeping the coaches' awards (averaging 22.2 points and 6.4 assists) as he led the Razorbacks to a 23-8 season and earned a double-bye into Friday’s tournament.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
