  • Fayetteville resident and artist Misha McQuillen Gardner - trapped in Puerto Vallarta since Sunday by cartel violence - is set to fly to Houston today before driving home to Fayetteville after an overnight stay.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • Dr. Najja Baptist will discuss his new book In the Spirit, In the Dark: Black Music and Political Activism at the Springdale Public Library on Feb. 28 — the talk will explore how blues, jazz and hip hop helped shape Black political activism.  4029 News

  • The Bentonville School District will host an educators career fair this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bentonville High School (1801 S.E. J St.), where job seekers should bring a resume for on-site interviews.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • The EPA approved new rules for dicamba herbicides on soybeans and cotton, effective for the next two years. Local farms may adjust weed control practices — improving management on their fields — based on the updated guidelines.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • Former Arkansas guard TJ Cleveland has joined Texas A&M as an assistant coach and will return to Bud Walton Arena tonight at 8 p.m. He plans to use his Bucky Ball strategy as the Aggies take on the Razorbacks on the court.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • The Razorbacks hired Tulane's defensive line coach Landius Wilkerson on Tuesday to join head coach Ryan Silverfield's staff after Marion Hobby left for the Colts.   • The Arkansas women's golf team shot 2-over par Tuesday to tie for sixth at Chevron Collegiate at Golf Club of Houston.   • Two Razorbacks track stars earned SEC honors Tuesday when Rivaldo Marshall broke a 25-year record in the 800 with a 1:45.62 time and freshman Karabo Letebele ran the 60 in 6.55 seconds; the team remains top-ranked before heading to SEC Indoor Championships in College Station and NCAA Indoor in March.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
