Joseph (Joey) Bequette is Gravette’s new interim fire chief; he plans to expand the fire department as the city grows.
He said his focus is on building on past successes rather than changing what already works.

Argentine golfer Mateo Pulcini — a former Razorback who played his final year at Arkansas — won the Latin America Amateur Championship in Lima by sinking big par putts and a 3-foot save on the playoff hole, earning spots at the Masters, U.S. Open and British Open.
He becomes the oldest champion since 2015.
Fayetteville native Kaiden Turner will play at 6:30 p.m. CT today when Indiana faces Miami in the College Football Playoff national championship at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla.
Turner (a longtime special teams and backup linebacker) remained with the team despite a coaching change.
