Stranger than Folklore - The Unknown Ozarks

About this event

Uncover the folklore, mysteries, and living traditions of the Ozarks! We all grow up with stories. But have you ever wondered what truth inspired the folklore? Join Ozark folklorist and author Brandon Weston as he recounts his journey to document and explain the magical mysteries of the hills and hollers. His work with Ozark healers and storytellers breaks through the barriers separating fairytale from memory, academic study from lived truth. For almost twenty years, Weston has worked hard to preserve and pass down Ozark folk traditions for generations to come. See this event on our calendar at https://www.faylib.org/event/17541787.
